Welch Allyn Expands Network Services Contract With AT&T

SKANEATELES FALLS, N.Y., Jan. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced an extended networking services contract with Welch Allyn, a leading global manufacturer of frontline medical products and solutions. Under the terms of the three-year $5.1 million renewed agreement, AT&T will continue to provide OneNet Voice Services and Virtual Private Network (VPN) services spanning 12 global locations. These services include remote access and a network-based firewall over AT&T's Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-based network.

With AT&T's VPN services, Welch Allyn will now have a high-end managed data-services solution over a global common architecture, which can be accessed remotely to promote more effective and efficient sharing of applications hosted at multiple Welch Allyn global locations. AT&T's MPLS core will ensure a replicable, robust and resilient network that will connect all of the company's global locations and grow with the company's communications needs.
