WeissComm Partners Promotes Diane Weiser to President and Chief Operating Officer

NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- WeissComm Partners, Inc., the fastest growing independent public relations firm in the United States, today announced the promotion of Diane Weiser to President and Chief Operating Officer. She will continue to report to WeissComm's founder and CEO, Jim Weiss, who also will become Chairman.

Since Weiser joined WeissComm in August 2004, the firm has quadrupled its revenues to $16.5 million and the number of employees to more than 75, grown its New York office, opened offices in Chicago and Washington, D.C., and established an international presence and capability.

"Diane has successfully applied more than 20 years of healthcare communications experience to WeissComm's diverse portfolio of innovative biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare services, device and diagnostic clients," Weiss said. Prior to joining WeissComm, Weiser was director of the healthcare practice in the San Francisco office of Ketchum. In that position, she led the Genentech Avastin(R) business, managing a multi-office Best Team for the account, as well as providing counsel to other Genentech product teams. Prior to Ketchum San Francisco, Diane ran Ketchum's New York healthcare practice, which was the lead agency for the global Lipitor(R) business. She has developed and managed strategic, high-profile programs for leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies including Pfizer, Roche, Bayer Diagnostics, Allergan, Aventis, Celgene Corporation and Pharmacia.
