NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- WeissComm Partners announced today it has been named Healthcare Agency of the Year by The Holmes Report. In addition, based on its revenue growth, business expansion and key hires, it ranked #16 overall and #4 in healthcare and was the fastest-growing agency in the Top 100 according to O'Dwyer's annual rankings of independent agencies in the United States.

Key Business Highlights

-- Hired Tony Esposito as chief financial officer. Esposito previously

led finance and operations at Ruder Finn and Manning, Selvage and Lee.

-- Hired Angela Pennington Gillespie as managing director of the San

Francisco office. Pennington Gillespie managed her own PR consultancy

prior to joining WeissComm and previously served as a vice president at

Porter Novelli/FischerHealth.

-- Hired Tom Jones as managing director. Jones served as executive

director of product communications at Novartis and as senior vice

president in Ketchum's New York healthcare practice.

-- Promoted Diane Weiser to president from chief operating officer, a post

she has held since 2004. Since then, the agency has quadrupled its

revenues and number of employees.

-- Promoted Hala Mirza to associate director in the New York office.

Mirza has been with WeissComm nearly since its inception and is a key

driver in its growth and success.

-- Grew revenue by 77 percent to $13 million in 2007 from $7.3 million in

2006, and is on track to achieve or exceed $17 million in revenue in

2008.

-- Hired more than 40 new employees since this time last year bringing the

total number of employees to more than 80.
