WeissComm Partners Makes 10 New Hires as It Wins New Accounts and Grows Existing Business

NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- WeissComm Partners, the largest independent communications agency focused on the healthcare industry, today announced 10 recent new hires to work on several new and growing accounts in its San Francisco, New York and Chicago offices.

The Company also announced that the 2007 survey of Inc. Magazine's 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies in the Nation ranked WeissComm 1,033 overall and number 52 among the fastest growing companies based in San Francisco.

The new hires include seasoned corporate communications and investor relations experts Monique Greer, formerly of Dendreon Corporation, and Nicole Foderaro, formerly of Nuvelo, Inc. In addition, several other associates have joined its offices across the country, including Danielle Bertrand, Erin Bittner, Julio Cantre, Jessica Carlson, Julie Normart, Brooke Shenkin, Becky Soja and Adrienne Turner. These new hires bring the number of employees to over 60.

The new clients represent a cross section of WeissComm's diverse portfolio of biotech, medical device, diagnostic and pharmaceutical companies. They include Alsius Corporation, Emphasys Medical, Map Pharmaceuticals, Sagent Pharmaceuticals and Sirion Therapeutics.
