Weekend-Long Tweetathon Will Focus on Sustainable Weight Loss and Healthy Living
Date:3/13/2013

Washington, DC (PRWEB) March 13, 2013

Diet-to-Go, a national diet meal delivery service sponsoring the NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo cooking stage, will offer daily giveaways and prizes on March 16-17 as part of a two-day Tweetathon promoting a common-sense approach to sustainable healthy living.

Americans’ path to change is too often cluttered with extremes. From fad dieting to overly rigid diet and exercise programs, many Americans find it difficult to stick with something that actually works.

The Tweetathon will begin March 16 at 9 a.m. EST and end March 17 at 5 p.m. EST. The public is invited to participate in the conversation by using the hashtags #diettogo and #tweetathon. It will bring a number of influential bloggers from around the country, Expo-featured chef Alli Sosna and registered dietician Rebecca Mohning together with the online community to discuss small, practical lifestyle changes that actually work, and people can live with long-term.

The Tweetathon will run in tandem with the Washington D.C. NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo, which will also provide a forum for people to learn about how they can make sustainable choices that will lead to a healthier weight and lifestyle.

“It’s important to discuss practical, common-sense ideas that the average person can make part of his or her life,” said Diet-to-Go CEO Hilton Davis. “There are so many crazy or extremely rigid ideas out there, it is difficult for people to figure out what they should do.”

Diet-to-Go will be offering daily prizes to randomly selected tweeters throughout the Tweetathon, which include five $100 Amazon gift cards and five free weeks of Diet-to-Go meals.
