Wanted: Illinois Family Physician of the Year Nominations

LISLE, Ill., April 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Does the next Illinois Family Physician of the Year live in your community? Is it your family physician? We need to hear from you! The Illinois Academy of Family Physicians (IAFP) is seeking nominees for our IAFP Family Physician of the Year Award.

The Family Physician of the Year Award recognizes a family physician that:

-- Provides patients with comprehensive family medicine on a continuing basis, using the highest quality, evidence-based standards of care.

-- Is directly involved in community affairs to enhance the quality of the community.

-- Provides a credible role model professionally and personally to other health professionals, as well as patients.

All nominees must be Illinois Academy of Family Physicians (IAFP) members. Ask your doctor if he or she is a family physician if you're not sure. Other specialties are not eligible for this award. Nominees should be in practice for at least five years. Members of the IAFP board of directors and previous winners are not eligible.

Patients and colleagues can nominate their favorite family physician simply by sending a letter describing the family physician's outstanding qualities and reasons why he or she should be our Family Physician of the Year.
