Walgreens Launches New Health Essentials Catalog and Website for AARP Members Featuring More Than 20,000 Health-Related Products

Discounted Health-Related Products and Services for AARP's 39 Million Members

WASHINGTON, Oct. 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, Walgreens announced a new catalog, "AARP Health Essentials by Walgreens" and a new website http://aarp.walgreens.com to provide AARP's 39 million members access to discounted health, beauty and wellness products. The new catalog and website offers a 5 percent discount, exclusively for AARP's members, on more than 20,000 products.

Baby boomers spend more than $525 billion a year on healthcare and are responsible for 61 percent of all over-the-counter medication purchases according to a report published by The Resource for Marketing Executives. "Our 39 million members represent a large percentage of this group and our relationship with Walgreens will provide them with discounts and easier access to a wide variety of health-related products," said Adam Sohn, Associate Director, AARP Media Relations.

The Walgreens' products featured in the catalog include supplements, skin care and personal care products along with thousands of other products across multiple product categories such as vitamins and nutrition, health care, fitness and diet, beauty and spa, home medical, medical and nutrition, personal, sexual wellness, household, baby and children, electronics, food, toys, gifts and seasonal products.
