WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 is 'On Your Side' with Healthy Living for Kids; Free Immunizations for Children on Sunday August 23rd at Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History

to all Healthy Living participants courtesy of WXYZ-TV Channel 7. In addition there will be a host of other giveaways including toothbrushes, toothpaste, pens, pencils, stickers, books, Disney goodies, McDonald's toys, etc. . . Detroit Tigers mascot "Paws" will stop by and greet guests from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. while WJLB-FM 98 will make an appearance and distribute additional giveaways. Pizza will be provided courtesy of CiCi's Pizza! COSTCO Wholesale Corporation and Better Made Snack Food Company respectively will offer water and chips. Complimentary ice cream will be made available by Pars Ice Cream Company.

Bob Sliva, WXYZ-TV Vice President and General Manager said "Healthy Living for Kids is an excellent example of how community service projects can make a real difference in the lives of Metro Detroit families. Providing the opportunity to insure that our children receive the proper immunization care is critical, especially during these challenging economic times. We are grateful to all the volunteers, the organizations and participating companies that have helped to make this event so special for the kids".

The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History is located in the heart of Detroit's Cultural Center, at 315 East Warren Avenue. Free parking is available, courtesy of the College for Creative Studies.
