(PRWEB) November 6, 2009 -- WAV, Inc., the value-added distributor of wireless, security, RFID, VoIP and portable data-collection equipment, announced that it has partnered with Vecima Networks Inc. (TSX:VCM), a leading provider of equipment supporting broadband access to cable, wireless and telephony networks. The partnership will extend the VistaMAX®, BWIN™ and WaveRider® product lines to WAV’s VAR and Solution Provider customers.

By partnering with Vecima, WAV’s resellers will gain access to a full line of WiMAX solutions including VistaMAX WiMAX Broadband Wireless - 3.65 GHz Products, Vecima’s BWIN wireless system, and NON-LINE-OF-SIGHT (NLOS) broadband products developed by WaveRider.

“Vecima is proud to partner with WAV to distribute its wireless solutions,” said Jim Shedden, Director of WaveRider Sales at Vecima. “WAV has the expertise to provide support for our VistaMAX, BWIN and WaveRider lines to its VAR and Solution Provider customers.”

The VistaMAX series of WiMAX base stations, outdoor and indoor CPEs enables first-class last-mile broadband connectivity and is available at 3.65 GHz.

Vecima’s BWIN wireless system builds on the powerful and cost effective DOCSIS™ standard for cable equipment and provides an excellent solution for high bandwidth wireless services reaching beyond the wired limits of a cable infrastructure.

Vecima’s WaveRider solutions include an NLOS 900 MHz wireless broadband system, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless backhaul or enterprise broadband applications for 900 MHz, 4.9 GHz, 5.8 GHz, and the Nomadic Data Access systems operating in the 900 MHz ISM band.
