Voskos Greek Yogurt Introduces a New Flavor
Date:4/4/2013

Sun Valley, CA (PRWEB) April 04, 2013

Voskos Greek Yogurt is adding an exciting new product to its line in 2013. Available nationally, the new raspberry flavor is made of skim milk, real raspberries, and live and active cultures. Each cup contains 120 calories, zero grams of fat, 12 grams of protein and 15% of the recommended dietary allowance of calcium.

"As we all know, raspberries are a mid-summer fruit and their season is quite short," says Gohar Ohanian, Marketing Director for Voskos Greek Yogurt. “We wanted consumers – and our own families - to have access to raspberries’ incredibly fresh flavor year-round.” The natural sweetness of raspberries perfectly complements the creamy tartness of Greek yogurt, which has made the new flavor an instant success.“ Consumers tell us it’s quickly become one of their favorite Voskos flavors,” Ohanian says.

Voskos Raspberry Greek yogurt is excellent all on its own, as an easy, high-protein breakfast or as a filling snack. In season, add a few fresh raspberries and some almonds on top for a true dessert-like, antioxidant-rich experience.

“Voskos Raspberry works extremely well in recipes, too. Its pleasant fruity sweetness and creamy texture make it a great ingredient in cakes, cupcakes and muffins,” says Jessica Cliffords, recipe developer for Voskos. “But it gets even better - one of our top recipes that uses the new raspberry flavor is also a very easy one - a raspberry coconut parfait, made with Voskos raspberry Greek yogurt, fresh raspberries, oats, coconut and honey. With a wholesome list of ingredients and a dessert-like consistency and taste, not to mention 15 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber in each serving, Voskos raspberry parfait makes a great breakfast, snack – or a healthy dessert.
