As a part of Disney Parks' "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day" program, nonprofit Community Food & Outreach Center is offering their volunteers a free day at the Disney Parks for their volunteer time.
(PRWEB) January 30, 2010 -- As part of Disney Parks' “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” program announced on September 29, 2009, Community Food and Outreach Center hopes to inspire families and individuals in Central Florida to volunteer in 2010. Beginning January 1, 2010, Disney Parks is celebrating the volunteer spirit by giving a free one-day admission ticket to a Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort theme park to 1 million people who perform community service for a participating organization. Families can sign up at www.disneyparks.com.
“What a great time for Disney to inspire the community to volunteer,” said Scott George, Co-Founder of the Community Food and Outreach Center. Community Food and Outreach Center works to supply food and hope to those in need in Central Florida. They do this by offering hunger relief programs, crisis services to families, education and employment programs. The outreach center located in downtown Orlando serves over 300 of our neighbors in need each day.
