VirtualHealth Technologies, Inc. Announces Management Appointment

LEXINGTON, Ky., May 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VirtualHealth Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: VHGI) has named Robert Tapales as the new Vice President of Operations effective immediately. Robert previously served as COO and EVP of VPS Holdings, LLC, for the past 4 years and joined VHGI as part of its acquisition of VPS Holdings in September 2006.

Robert has over 21 years experience in the healthcare industry, ranging from clinical care, to the development and implementation of integrated practice management/EDI solutions for physicians. Prior to joining VPS Holdings, LLC he held key management positions with several leading healthcare IT companies in California, Texas, Florida and Atlanta. He has extensive background in Practice Management having worked with the first Physician's Billing System in the 1990's to fully integrate electronic claims as part of its core application. Robert also led the implementation team of Veriscrip(TM) by working with state lawmakers to develop a real-time prescription drug monitoring pilot in Kentucky, the first of its kind in the nation.

Robert will continue working on the expansion of Veriscrip(TM) in each state while acting as General Manager for VPS Holdings, LLC. In his new expanded role with VHGI he will be focused primarily on the development of synergistic opportunities for the companies and in managing the direction of the emerging and existing products and their corresponding services.

He holds a Degree in Microbiology from California State University of Long Beach and he also earned California teaching credentials for Medical Office Management, Billing and Coding. He is a member of the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators and previously the Medical Group Management Assoc and Health Information and Management Systems Society.
