Date:8/21/2008

Vigilan ranks No. 1352 on the 2008 Inc. 5,000 list, experiences three-year

sales growth of 281.1 percent

PORTLAND, Ore., Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Inc. recently unveiled Vigilan as No. 1352 on its annual ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the United States. The list is the most comprehensive look at one of the most important segments in the economy -- America's independent-minded entrepreneurs.

Vigilan delivers operational management software to assisted living, independent living and dementia care communities to improve senior living. Since its founding, Vigilan has helped more than 550 communities in their missions to improve quality care and achieve profitability.

"This is a great honor and a rewarding tribute to all our hard work," said Doug Fullaway, president and COO of Vigilan. "As an entrepreneurial company, our mission is to make an impact on the quality of senior living today and in the future. Receiving a recognition like this from Inc. is validation that we are being successful as a business and laying the foundation for a sustainable mission."

Approximately 82 companies from Oregon made the Inc. 5000 list this year, with only 16 of them ranking higher than Vigilan, which demonstrated a three- year sales growth of 281.1 percent.

"Our second annual Inc. 5000 continues the most ambitious project in business journalism," said Inc. 5000 project manager Jim Melloan. "The Inc. 5000 gives an unrivalled portrait of young, underreported companies across all industries doing fascinating things with cutting-edge business models, as well as older companies that are still showing impressive growth."

Rankings are measures of revenue growth from 2004 through 2007. To qualify, companies must be U.S.-based and privately held, for profit, independent -- not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies -- as of December 31, 2007, and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2004, and $2 million in 2007.
