Vigilan Honors National Nurse Week in Assisted Living, Independent Living and Dementia Care

Online and Phone Based Survey Encourages Nurses to Give Voice to Improving Quality Care and Quality Careers

PORTLAND, Ore., May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Vigilan, the leader in software for better senior living, celebrates National Nurse Week May 6-12, 2009 by listening to what nurses have to say about how to improve the business, the quality of care and the technology in assisted living, independent living and dementia care. Vigilan is offering an online and phone-based survey where nurses may easily offer their ideas. The results will be reported back to the industry to improve the quality of care for residents and the quality of work for nurses.

"Nurses are at the heart of creating quality of life for seniors. We hear some great ideas from nurses about how to improve things. They have ideas for better training methods, new ways to deliver care, changes to regulations, and ways to make the job of being a nurse better," said Doug Fullaway, president and COO of Vigilan. "But we are very aware that nurses are very busy and may not have time to make the improvements they imagine. We hope in some small way to help bring some of their ideas to life."

Nurses can take a few moments to fill out the survey either online or over the phone. To complete the survey online, please visit www.vigilan.com and click on Nurses, We Want To Hear From You button on the bottom left corner of the Home Page. To complete the survey by phone, please call the toll free number 800-443-1127 and ask to fill out the 2009 Nurse Survey. All responses will be kept confidential.
