Viant Acquires Healthcare Partners of East Texas Provider Network

PLANO, Texas, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas True Choice, Inc., a subsidiary of Viant, Inc., a leader in healthcare payment and cost management solutions, today announced that it has acquired certain assets of Healthcare Partners of East Texas, Inc. The acquisition will expand Viant's PPO network offering in the group health market and enhance its existing lines of services to the nation's leading health plans, insurers and third-party administrators.

Founded in 1994, Healthcare Partners of East Texas, headquartered in Longview, Texas, has been a highly respected regional Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) with 39 acute care hospitals and 2,200 physicians in their network. With the addition of the Healthcare Partners of East Texas provider network, Viant networks, including Texas True Choice and Beech Street, will now offer access to an estimated 585,000 healthcare providers nationally.

Commenting on the announcement, Viant Vice President, Alan Scoggins, said, "It is clear that Healthcare Partners of East Texas has had an excellent reputation in this region of the state. And, although we were sorry that they have decided to wind-down operations and sell, it has provided an excellent opportunity for Texas True Choice, our customers and their members. This transaction reflects our ongoing commitment to invest in our network services business, in response to our customers needs for increased coverage, especially in key states such as Texas."
