MANCHESTER, Conn., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Vgo Software, Inc., a leading provider of client-server modernization solutions, today announces their success in becoming the first in the world to automate the modernization of Oracle Forms to ADF v11 for customer Mednet International (MNI), an international provider of health insurance administration systems in Athens, Greece. Vgo Software utilized both ART(TM), their Oracle Forms analysis tool, and Evo(TM), the industry leading Oracle Forms modernization software, to complete the project.

Vgo Software was challenged to modernize the health insurance administration and management system from an Oracle Forms 6i-based client- server system to Oracle ADF v11 to provide better long-term support for MNI's applications, reduce operational spending and position their portfolio in a long-term strategic position. "The team at MNI realized that to achieve greater scalability and flexibility, a true Java-based architecture would be required," said Renner. "However, they did not want to sacrifice the business logic they had invested in by completely re-writing the system."
To solve this issue Vgo worked with MNI from the start by objectively
assessing their organizational and business needs to recommend a solution
architecture and approach to modernization. Vgo then used ART to analyze
their application to assist in planning the approach in more detail. From
the analysis, Vgo worked closely with MNI developers to customize Evo to
convert their Forms to a specific ADF v11 implem
