Glancy Brings Variety of Experience with Complex Rehab Market

DETROIT, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- David Glancy, a complex rehab specialist with more than 12 years of experience, has joined Alliance Seating & Mobility (ASM), one of the nation's fastest growing accredited complex rehab companies. Glancy is an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) in Detroit, Mich., for ASM (www.alliance-seating.com) and provides power mobility solutions for pediatrics and adults with severe physical disabilities related to paralysis, cerebral palsy, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy and other conditions.

"Get a young man a specialized walker so he can go to prom, secure a standing chair so a professor can address her class from the podium, or find a way the family can be together at the dinner table: this is how I'm rewarded for what I do!" said Glancy. "I enjoy helping my customers and relish being 'the good guy' who can literally help change their lives."

Glancy has been a RESNA-certified ATP for almost 10 years and has a wide variety of experience in the rehab world. Previously, he worked as a department manager for Wright and Filippis, a large rehab, orthotic and prosthetic provider. He also owned and operated his own rehab businesses, including Glancy Seating Solutions LLC which was awarded the National Registry of Rehabilitative Technology Suppliers (NRRTS) in 2000. In addition, he has worked for Michigan-based hospitals as both a physical therapy aide and bio-med tech repairing and maintaining equipment.

"David could have easily ended up on the design end of rehab; instead he brings his experience from several aspects of the rehab industry to our team," said Scott Higley, ASM's Vice President of Business Development. "Our team is growing stronger every day, ensuring that we provide the best products and services possible to our complex rehab patients across the nation."

Established in November 2007, ASM has grown from three locations to almost 25 in the past year. ASM is responsible for sales and service of rehabilitation equipment and commercially available assistive technology products/devices for consumers with disabilities.
