First online directory of specialist attorneys increases consumer

confidence

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Verdict One, developer of the first directory of board certified lawyers of all specialties, announced today the opening of its website to consumers as well as attorneys.

A board certified attorney differs from a general practice attorney by achieving the following additional steps: obtaining recommendations from judges and colleagues who endorse competency and ethics; finishing 3-5 years of practice with rigorous benchmarks for trial experience in a particular specialty; and, passing a written exam in the specialty.

"Today is a great day for consumers looking for a qualified attorney," said Michael O'Laughlin, CEO of Verdict One. "Now, finding a board certified lawyer is as easy as browsing our website and typing in a location and a specialty."

Verdict One represents board certified lawyers in Florida, California, Texas and North Carolina -- and it's rapidly expanding to include divorce, injury, civil trial, bankruptcy, and other specialty lawyers across the country.

"We applaud Verdict One for producing such a high-quality, revolutionary product," said Allyson Hughes, a Board Certified Family Law Attorney in the Tampa Area. "This is very exciting for someone with legal needs, and it's a valuable resource for an attorney looking to refer a case."

In addition to the specialty lawyer directory, Verdict One also includes descriptions of each legal specialty as well as information on important legal issues.

Other legal specialties represented in Verdict One include appellate practice, accident, health law, immigration, real estate, and criminal trial lawyers; administrative, aviation, elder law, labor and employment lawyers, will and trust -- estate planning lawyers, and tax lawyers.
