Ranked by Seattle Business Magazine, Verathon was tied for 16th "Best Company To Work For" in the mid-size company category, (those companies with 100 to 499 employees). Verathon was selected as one of only 30 companies in the mid-size category included in the Top 100. Among only 7 health care companies in the Top 100 ranking, Verathon was the top health care company within the mid-size category.

"Verathon is extremely pleased to be recognized for the third year running as one of the 'Best Places to Work' in Washington State," stated Gerald McMorrow, founder, CEO and chairman of the board of Verathon. "Verathon is a dynamic place to work. Our employees know that their daily dedication to providing innovative and reliable medical devices to health care professionals plays a key role in improving patient care and reducing medical costs."

The nomination process for "Best Places to Work For" included the initial nomination by an employee, company-wide employee surveys and completion of a benefits survey. Employees were asked to rate the company by completing a confidential online survey covering criteria such as effective communication, training, responsibility and decision-making, performance standards, rewards and recognition, benefits, leadership, work environment, hiring and retention, and corporate culture. The data were compiled by an independent market research firm, a judging panel reviewed the data and rankings were assigned.
