New vaporizer sales are growing at an increasing rate, and with competition booming for new vaporizers of all types, many new products are appearing on the market. Booming sales also spur a new wave of frauds and knock-offs and unauthorized sales, so manufacturers have turned to authorized vaporizer dealer networks.
New demand is fueling sales for vaporizers of all types and the demand is coming from smoke shops, specialty drug stores, health food stores, and websites across the country. However with the expanding market also comes new scams and inferior product, as well as price wars between distributors, that sometimes complicate vaporizer purchases.
“Some people use them for essential oils or herbs and cooking, while others use more mainstream tobacco leaf, and still others use an array of herbal remedies facilitated by vaporizers. Vaporizers heat material instead of burning it. The effect is similar to smoking and vaporizers are also filling niche markets that use botanical varieties. Other vaporizers compete with the new wave e-cigarettes, which also are a vaporizer.” said Steve Steinberg owner of Slide4less and www.vaporizeit.com, a major vaporizer distribution company.
In the wake of this new technology, many new manufacturers have sprung up with various alternatives that can be used for everything from a smoking cessation aide to a high end cooking appliance. And there are many proven designs that people rely upon, as well as not so well known designs and knock-offs.
One popular model is the Volcano Vaporizer. The Volcano is an herbal vaporizer that is an industry standard, and it's a really high end and successful vaporizer. “Many new entrants have duplicated the Volcano design and/or look so you sometimes need to double check if you want to make sure you've got the real thing.” said Steinberg.
“Volcano's are the most copied product on the market, but everybody knows that it's not an original Volcano unless it's made by Storz and Bickel. The Volcano is a high end vaporizer that was distributed first in the USA by by Slide4less Inc which uses the trade name Vaporize IT.” said Steinberg. He continued, “Arizer and Vapir and Iolite are just three others out of the many Vaporizer manufacturers that have had unauthorized resales and this kind of activity spurs the manufacturers to restrict service and warranty or otherwise alter rules for stores and other service providers and to establish Authorized Dealer Networks and other methods to help supervise sales and marketing.”
In response to more widespread use, some manufacturers have also limited supply to many resellers, often so that distribution is eliminated for purchase by minors in some markets. “As a smoking alternative, these devices are also used for herbal alternative medicines, so the market is usually limited to adults and specialty businesses and does not appeal to general market stores or general market distribution, even though the over-all market for these products is potentially very large.” noted Steinberg.
Steinberg continued, “Bulk herbs and essential oils are available at health food shops across the country and these stores are also carrying vaporizers for use with oils and herbs.”
Vaporizers provide a newer method of applying age old principles for herbs that are traditionally used for teas, potpourri, aromatherapy, or traditional herbal medicines. There are hundreds of different types available at shops nationwide.
Vaporizers have found their way into several niche markets in recent years, and buyers can look to new leading manufacturers as well as authorized vaporizer dealers to find authentic merchandise. It's a new and leading edge technology that has applications in several consumer and medicinal markets.
