(PRWEB) February 20, 2010 -- The largest and most exciting health fair ever to be held in Clark County is being hosted by Living Hope Church on the Brush Prairie campus Feb. 26 from 10AM to 8PM. Kids, sports fans, senior citizens, gun owners, dog lovers, teenage drivers, moms, and dads will all find fun and information at Hope 4 a Healthier You.

Adventure seekers can meet the SW Washington Regional SWAT Team, while dog lovers watch live presentations by the Clark County Sherriff K-9 units showing the dogs at work. Free gun locks will be available to safely secure your firearms. Kids can attend a healthy pizza making class, learn karate, and more. Drivers of all ages: learn safe driving maneuvers, including how to respond if your accelerator sticks, your brakes fail, and other techniques. Sports fans can look forward to participation from the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks, Portland Winterhawks, and Portland Trailblazers!

Get free health screenings for blood pressure, vision, hearing, and more. Get anti-aging information. Get a free mini-massage.

Free health seminars all day will cover topics such as: how to keep your body from harboring disease, how to shop for healthy foods on a tight budget, how to maximize your health and wellness, nutrition, and CPR training. Financial health classes will teach how to plan your will and estate, and how to successfully navigate the housing market.

And of course, there will be loads of free samples and gifts of food, fun stuff—and lots of door prizes too!

The idea for the Healthy Living and Family Resource Fair originated when the staff at Adult Care Placements, Inc. [http://www.AdultCarePro.com/ (an organization that offers help to those faced with the difficult task of transitioning an aging family member into long term care housing) discovered a real need for more education and access to resources for the general public. The fair grew into an even more rewarding project than expected after Adult Care Placements president, Lynn Rockstad partnered with Pastor John Bishop of Living Hope Church to benefit the local community as well as domestic and global humanitarian projects.

We are proud to announce that all proceeds, from the sponsors of this event, will be used by John Bishop Ministries to further their efforts of humanitarian projects around the world. The ministry has helped homeless people locally as well as provided food, medical supplies, and clean water to an orphanage and leper colony in India. Current plans are underway for humanitarian outreach to Haiti and Africa, and continued aid in India.

The fair is located at Living Hope Church 10702 NE 117th Ave. Vancouver, WA 98662. Please contact Lynn Rockstad for further information (360) 254-5977.
