VanB Enterprises' Hearing Aid Sweat Bands Celebrates Long Time Customer & Dedicated Hockey Mom Making it to the World Deaf Ice Hockey Championships

West Valley, NY (PRWEB) April 01, 2013

The Gintoli Family is a strong, loving family from Monroe, CT who knows the challenges that come with deafness and hearing loss. The pillar of this family is Karen; wife, and mother of three sons and a daughter. Hearing Aid Sweat Bands wants to highlight the effort and love Karen has put forth in helping her family succeed, and how much her support for the product has meant to their business.

Karen, along with her sons Garrett and Peter, as well as her daughter Michelle, all were born with Melnick-Fraser Syndrome. The genetic disorder is characterized by malformations in the inner and middle ear causing hearing loss. All of them use technological devices to assist in hearing. Being a very active family, they use Hearing Aid Sweat Bands to help keep their hearing aids protected and operating during their activities.

As long time customers of Hearing Aid Sweat Bands, not only one but two of the Gintoli boys, Garrett and Peter, are participating in the World Deaf Ice Hockey Championships in Finland from March 30 – April 6. The whole Gintoli family will be there as well, cheering them on. Karen was originally the one who encouraged owner Scott VanBuskirk to contribute product to the American Hearing Impaired Hockey Association for their big trip to the championships. Scott was happy to help and even made a special American Flag edition Hearing Aid Sweat Band for the US Team.
“Karen Gintoli is a shining example of a phenomenal hockey mom,” Scott said. “She dedicates so much of her time to her family. Their whole family deserves so much credit for being such a dedicated, strong and committed ‘family team’.”

Karen thanks organizations like AHIHA for providing an outlet to connect with families who face similar challenges. “This organization has made such a difference in our lives. We are blessed,” she said. Although the players are connected by their hearing loss, they also are driven by a love of the game.

The World Deaf Ice Hockey Championships are streaming live online. For live streaming and additional details on the championships, visit
