Proceeds from the event will go toward the organization's accredited therapeutic riding program, which is designed for children and adults with physical, cognitive, emotional and social disabilities.

The event will be held Sunday, August 23 from 11 AM to 4 PM ET at the Rocky River Stables in the Cleveland Metroparks: 19901 Puritas Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44135.

ABOUT THE THERAPEUTIC RIDING PROGRAM

Therapeutic Riding Lessons are offered at both the Rocky River and Brecksville locations in the Cleveland Metroparks. More than just sitting on a horse, therapeutic instruction aids eye/hand coordination, spatial relations and an understanding of direction. The horses lend their strength and abilities to the rider and their movement and shape helps tight, spastic muscles to relax while also benefiting posture and balance. Students gain a sense of achievement, self respect and satisfaction while growing socially and emotionally through the attainment of horseback riding skills. The program is accredited by the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA), with certified instructors and a physical therapist consultant on staff.
