Houston, TX (PRWEB) May 13, 2010 -- VRMeetings, Inc. today announced the U.S. launch of MeetingPlaza, the world’s most advanced document collaboration and video conferencing tool on the market, leveraging the secure NTT America networks and Data Center infrastructure for enterprise customers. The system is a browser-based web-hosted video and collaborative conferencing tool for increased business productivity of users. Developed by the NTT-IT, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) and a total IT solution provider, MeetingPlaza is a fully integrated solution that combines voice, data, video and interactive collaboration tools for up to 32 simultaneous users in a single meeting and 2,000 participants for large seminars and webinars.

Major features of MeetingPlaza include an instant messenger, application sharing, text chat, web sharing, file sharing and record and replay into a “single unified” product for use as a Managed Service, SaaS (Software as a Service) or enterprise software over the public internet, wireless networks or corporate networks. MeetingPlaza has a high level of security and provides full encryption of voice, data and video for collaborating in a safe and secure manner. Additionally, the MeetingPlaza Gateway allows up to 16 simultaneous locations with traditional video conferencing systems, such as Polycom, Sony, or Tandberg to join conferences.

VRMeetings takes full advantage of both the NTT America hosting environment and either NTT America’s Arcstar™ global private network or the NTT Communications Global IP Network Tier 1 backbone to provide a managed conferencing solution. The NTT America datacenters feature N+1 redundancy and SAS70-Type 2 certification which ensures MeetingPlaza customers maximum performance. The NTT America network offers powerful, world-class infrastructure, with a redundant global backbone and high reliability, ensuring the MeetingPlaza’s maximum performance for customers on either the public or private NTT America networks.

“NTT America is a part of a large multi-national telecommunications company with a superior global communications network,” said Mike Cormier, CEO of VRMeetings. “The reliability, quality and performance of the company’s network, services and management team, and its commitment to quality for its US domestic and global customers, simply speak for itself. MeetingPlaza’s performance on the NTT America network will increase both productivity and cost savings for both small businesses and the enterprise customers.”

“NTT America is proud to provide the infrastructure underlying MeetingPlaza. Currently, we are also providing MeetingPlaza to several global customers on our private network. MeetingPlaza has proven itself to be a great tool which improves efficiency and productivity,” said Stephen Bloom, NTT America’s Vice President of Business Development.

MeetingPlaza is available as enterprise solution on a dedicated server, or software or SaaS (Software as a service) to NTT America’s MPLS or Global IP Network (GIN) customers.

“MeetingPlaza is a low cost solution that’s easy to use. The Solution has advanced collaboration tools that surpass the functionality of other products. MeetingPlaza also allows small business, large enterprises and government agencies to seamlessly expand the use of collaboration remotely to every desktop in the enterprise at a nominal cost and preserves the integrity of investments made in traditional video conferencing systems by expanding their use and functionality. “The NTT Network is the ultimate complement to our technology, business and customers.” said Mike Cormier, CEO of VRMeetings, Inc.
