VNA HealthCare Selects Allscripts Homecare

and former Vice President of Clinical Operations for VNA Healthcare, said the agency selected Allscripts based on HHCC's positive experience with Allscripts people, service, and solutions. Culos also cited the advanced financial reporting functionality of Allscripts Homecare, and the ability the software provides to improve clinical documentation. Culos said the agency also preferred that Allscripts Homecare is a Microsoft Windows-based system, unlike the older software it replaces.

"Allscripts is incredibly easy to learn and use with workflow built into it, so there's the potential for a lot of efficiencies," said Culos. "Essentially, we think of it as an electronic health record for home care, which we need in order to decrease paper and filing, and enhance the quality and continuity of care we deliver."
