Allscripts Homecare is designed to improve clinical quality of care, financial performance, and operational control for large, integrated home care organizations and small home care companies. Business, clinical, and scheduling functionality for multiple lines of business--home health, hospice, and private duty are combined seamlessly in one integrated home care software system.

VNA HealthCare also will implement Allscripts Referral Management, a system that allows home health, hospice, and private duty agencies to track all patient referrals in a single system. Agencies automatically receive and respond to referrals from hospitals, enter referrals from non-electronic sources, and collect important marketing information. Referrals can be accepted within minutes instead of days or hours and receiving referrals automatically eliminates missed or delayed referrals. Allscripts Referral Management also automatically transfers hospital referral information into Allscripts Homecare, saving hours of data entry time each day and ensuring the accuracy of critical patient information.
