UsedGymEquipment.com Recycles 3,526,437 Pounds of Metal in 2012

(PRWEB) May 13, 2013

“We work hard to provide our customers with the very best in gym equipment. By taking used gym equipment and remanufacturing it to work like new, we are able to keep thousands upon thousands of metal out of the landfills. We are proud to be a green company and wouldn't have it any other way, “ says UsedGymEquipment.com President, Austin Hai.

How Do They Do It?

As President of UGE, Austin Hai is able to acquire used gym equipment from premium health clubs and gyms around the country. This equipment is shipped to their massive 130,000 square foot facility, located in Carson, California. Once there, the equipment is reconditioned and worked on until it is in perfecting working order and like new again.

Through their expert staff, these pieces of gym equipment are kept out of the landfills and are able to be used again by other facilities. The process involves the equipment frames being carefully custom powder-coated with a fresh paint job. Each part of the equipment is intensely inspected for damage and worn parts are replaced with new parts. Each of the electrical components, such as motors and display panels, are restored to like-new condition.

Once each of these gym machines has been reassembled, they look brand new and function like they just came out of the original factory. The best part of all of this is that UGE then sells the equipment to gyms and other health facilities at a fraction of the cost of new equipment. UGE is thrilled to be able to keep this equipment from filling up landfills and is able to save their customers huge amounts of money, while helping to preserve the environment.

UGE Is Committed to Making a Difference

UGE has made a commitment to make a difference in the environment, but their commitment does not stop there. The process of remanufacturing gym equipment is a tedious process. While many American companies are outsourcing their labor, UGE employs over 50 hard-working Americans in different skilled manufacturing positions.

Instead of exporting their jobs to other countries, UGE is exporting millions of dollars of used gym equipment to over 100 countries in the world. They can afford to compete with other gym equipment manufacturers, who do outsource their labor, because going green has cut their costs exponentially and allowed them to produce the very best in products, at the lowest prices possible.
