Univita Health Acquires Leading Web Services Company

ENURGI will provide web foundation for the newly launched "independent aging" company

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Univita Health, a new company aimed at promoting and supporting a home-centered approach to independent aging, announced the acquisition of ENURGI, a leading provider of web services that connects families and patients with clinical caregivers.

"Fundamental to our strategy is the creation of a virtual marketplace for individuals to find products and services that support independent aging," said Hugh Lytle, President and Chief Executive Officer of Univita. "ENURGI has a well established presence and provides the ideal foundation for further developing our vision."

ENURGI has transformed the delivery of home health care services through its unique web services and national database of over one million clinicians. ENURGI serves patients and their families by connecting them with licensed clinicians, certified nurses or home health aides.

Univita plans to provide a wide range of services that make the home a safe, comfortable place for people to age, reducing the need for medical interventions in a clinical setting such as a hospital or nursing home. In addition to servicing in-home care needs such as home health care, infusion therapy and home medical equipment, the company will also provide personalized assessments, decision support tools and financial planning and support.

"We are very excited to be part of Univita," said Chiara Bell, ENURGI Chief Executive Officer and Founder. "Our shared vision for applying web technologies combined with Univita's operating capabilities will allow us to innovate and deliver a new approach to home care."
