The 'University Medical Center Mainz' consists of more than 50 specialist clinics, institutes and departments as well as two central health-care facilities, a pharmacy and a transfusion center. All of these clinics and institutes work together on an interdisciplinary basis. The hospital has over 1600 beds and treats more than 61,000 in-patients every year.
