University Hospitals Case Medical Center Installs First Hot Kosher Vending Machine
Date:12/12/2008

CLEVELAND, Dec. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- University Hospitals Case Medical Center in conjunction with Sodexo Health Care Services is pleased to announce the installment of the Hot Nosh 24/6 unit, the original certified kosher hot food vending machine. UH Case Medical Center will house the first machine in the state of Ohio, offering patients and their caregivers around the clock access to a hot kosher meal.

University Hospitals prides itself on the diversity of its patients and staff, and offers kosher food in the cafeteria throughout the day. The machine was installed in order to meet the needs of kosher individuals after regular dining hours. "We are privileged to serve the diverse community of Northeastern Ohio, and while excellent medical care is central to our mission, we also strive to meet the personal needs of patients and their families," said Ron Dziedzicki, Senior Vice President of Operations, UH Case Medical Center.

The Hot Nosh 24/6 vending machine, which offers pizza, mozzarella sticks, potato knishes, onion rings and vegetarian cutlets, will be located in the Atrium Cafeteria. Sodexo Health Care Services, which provides food and environmental services management for University Hospitals, is enthusiastic about expanding dining options for both patients and staff, and plans on installing additional machines throughout the University Hospitals organization.
