Universal Funding When It Comes To Charity They’re Not Just Kidding Around

The principals at Universal Funding enjoy kidding around as well as the next business, but this spring they took it to a new level.

In these hard times, charities are having a hard time soliciting the donations that they need to support the good work they do for our community.

Universal Funding’s principals decided to make a new twist on giving. Recently, as a joke, they teamed up with the Giving Star foundation and their eighth annual “Send a Friend a Goat” fundraiser.

Yes, a real live (Capra aegagrus hircus) domesticated baby goat. Don’t worry, nothing happened to the goat. He actually had a good time and the customer got quite a laugh out of it too. The goat spent a few hours entertaining employees and customers alike.

Wishing Star is celebrating 30years of changing lives, one wish at a time. Over the past 30 years, they have worked with over 1,250 wish children and their families. This event generated enough money to grant over 28 wishes.

Monica Wozow, principal of Universal Funding said, “We particularly enjoy supporting organizations like Wishing Star whose focus is on helping children.”

The Wishing Star Foundation, grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses between the ages of 3 and 21, who live in Eastern and Central Washington and Idaho. A child does not need to be terminally ill to qualify for a wish. 

Wishing Star is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  They depend on gifts from individuals as well as businesses like Universal Funding. Wishing Star is proud to report that only 5% of funds go towards administrative costs. 

Universal Funding advances money to both small and medium sized businesses based on that company’s accounts receivables. In the past, companies needing cash for expansion were forced to approach banks or private lenders for loans. These lenders in turn loo
