USMD Chooses VitreosHealth’s Population Health Predictive Analytics Solution to Lower Costs, and Improve Population Health and Patient Satisfaction
Date:11/15/2016

VitreosHealth, the leader in predictive and prescriptive health insights for population health management, announced today that it has been selected by USMD Health System (“USMD”), a physician-led, integrated health system serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, to power their population health initiatives utilizing the industry-leading analytics platform.

In developing its population health strategy, USMD sought to expand its care management processes and develop risk stratification models, while integrating all available data flow and analytics across its system. USMD faced numerous challenges as it expanded population health initiatives.

“One of the biggest obstacles we face at USMD is handling large amounts of data. We leverage many systems, such as NextGen, Allscripts and others across our system. The ability for them to aggregate that data in such a precise way is essential to meet our expectations for success,” said Michael W. Bukosky, Chief Operating Officer, USMD Health System and President, USMD Physician Practice Management. “The way in which VitreosHealth approaches the data to glean powerful insights across our population of patients helps us to continuously improve patient care while lowering costs.”

Through VitreosHealth’s industry first Insights as a Service (IAAS) solution, USMD receives patient level insights into risks and best possible predicted interventions. Based on this information, USMD is able to maximize care management efforts in order to meet its current- and long-term needs for managing the clinical and financial risks of patient populations.

“We are extremely proud to have been selected by USMD as their population health predictive analytics partner. USMD has demonstrated its leadership position in population health and commitment to achieving the highest levels of healthcare excellence while managing costs,” said Jay Reddy, CEO of VitreosHealth. “We are committed to partnering with USMD to address their long-term strategy for population health.”
