USHEALTH Group Announces Appointment of Executive Vice President

FORT WORTH, Texas, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Benjamin M. Cutler, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of USHEALTH Group, Inc. (USHEALTH), a leading national health insurer providing affordable coverage to small business owners and the self-employed, announced today the promotion of Konrad H. Kober to Executive Vice President, Chief Administration Officer. In this expanded role, Kober will oversee USHEALTH's Information Services Division in addition to his other responsibilities. Cutler noted that Kober's promotion was reflective of his numerous contributions towards fulfilling the Company's objective of becoming the premier career agency health insurance company in the United States.

Kober's prior position with USHEALTH was Senior Vice President. Kober also is a Director and Senior Officer of USHEALTH's insurance affiliates National Foundation Life Insurance Company and Freedom Life Insurance Company of America.

He holds an undergraduate business degree from the University of North Texas, and is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute and an Associate of Life and Health Claims. Mr. Kober joined the Company in July 1990 as the Assistant Vice President of Claims Review/Communications and was promoted in June 1994 to Vice President of Claims Administration where he served until his promotion to Senior Vice President, Chief Administration Officer in March 1999.
