US Script Receives URAC Pharmacy Benefit Management Accreditation

FRESNO, Calif., March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- US Script, Inc. announced today that as of March 1, 2008, it has received the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) Accreditation from URAC, a Washington, DC-based healthcare accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the healthcare industry. Launched in 2007, URAC's PBM Accreditation program delivers the first-ever national standards and service benchmarks for the PBM industry, as well as Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes to improve operations and enhance compliance. US Script is one of only 11 PBMs accredited nationwide.

URAC's Pharmacy Benefit Management Accreditation is achieved by meeting standards and demonstrating industry practices in five areas: organizational quality; customer service, communications and disclosure; pharmacy distribution channels; drug utilization management; and formulary development.
