US Script Announces RxDirect VIPPS Accreditation
Date:12/10/2007

FRESNO, Calif., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- US Script, Inc. today announced that its mail order facility, RxDirect, Inc., received accreditation from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) through its Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites(TM) (VIPPS(R)) program. To be VIPPS-accredited, a pharmacy must comply with the licensing and inspection requirements of the state in which it is located and of each state to which it dispenses medications. In addition, it must meet VIPPS criteria, which address such issues as patients' privacy rights, authentication and security of prescription orders, adherence to a recognized quality assurance policy, and provision of meaningful consultation between patients and pharmacists.

"Successful VIPPS accreditation reinforces to our consumers that RxDirect meets or exceeds the rigorous criteria that were developed by NABP in conjunction with state and federal regulatory agencies, professional associations, and consumer advocacy groups," said Craig Darby, R.Ph., president of RxDirect. "VIPPS accreditation demonstrates to current and potential consumers that RxDirect is a recognized professional mail order pharmacy practice site, and that we go above and beyond to demonstrate our overall commitment to our patients."

Founded in 1994 and based in Texarkana, Texas, RxDirect is a full-service mail order and online pharmacy that provides prescription and over-the-counter medications to members of its contract groups.
