FRESNO, Calif., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- US Script, Inc. today announced that its mail order facility, RxDirect, Inc., received accreditation from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) through its Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites(TM) (VIPPS(R)) program. To be VIPPS-accredited, a pharmacy must comply with the licensing and inspection requirements of the state in which it is located and of each state to which it dispenses medications. In addition, it must meet VIPPS criteria, which address such issues as patients' privacy rights, authentication and security of prescription orders, adherence to a recognized quality assurance policy, and provision of meaningful consultation between patients and pharmacists.
