US Oncology Celebrates Consecutive Safety

HOUSTON, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Three US Oncology, Inc. businesses received a Safety Excellence Perfect Record Award in the Occupational Safety & Health category from the National Safety Council. Since inception in 2005, US Oncology Specialty, LP; US Oncology Clinical & Research Pharmacy distribution center; and OncologyRx Care Advantage(TM) oral oncology pharmacy have continuously received the Occupational Excellence Award from the national organization, making this the third year the US Oncology businesses have been awarded. "It is very difficult in the distribution business to go through a year of no accidents. To be able to achieve this continuously since inception, and for all three businesses, speaks volumes about the safety initiatives we have in place. The award is presented to companies, units and/or facilities that have completed a period of at least 12 consecutive months without incurring an occupational injury or illness that resulted in days away from work or death.
