UND Acquires ProtectionPlus in Ongoing Effort to Reduce Nuclear Stress Testing Costs for Physicians
Date:6/3/2010

The combination with ProtectionPlus will further lower testing costs for healthcare practices, which given the reimbursement rate cuts and insurance issues, has become a primary focus for many Cardiology practices and hospital systems. Importantly, the combined company will have ample opportunities to offer even further savings to the provider as UND seeks to eliminate all excessive costs associated with nuclear stress testing, making nuclear stress testing both more affordable and profitable.

Davie, Fla. (PRWEB) June 3, 2010 -- In a highly strategic transaction that brings together two complementary companies to create a premier and comprehensive organization specifically dedicated to urgently reducing costs for healthcare providers offering nuclear stress testing, University Nuclear and Diagnostics (www.NuclerStressTest.net), the nation’s foremost organization providing urgent cost cutting solutions to physician practices and hospitals offering nuclear stress tests, and ProtectionPlus, a top ranked nuclear camera service and repair company, announced today that they have reached a definitive agreement whereby UND will acquire ProtectionPlus. With an industry-leading presence in the health care services sector since 1995, UND is the largest standalone operator of physician owned or leased in office nuclear stress test labs, with client/practices in 22 states, Today, UND also operates several hospital nuclear stress test departments, imaging centers and advises for medical schools as well as Cardiology consultancy groups throughout the US, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

"This transaction is very compelling for practices, patients and for all those offering nuclear stress tests, and we are excited to add ProtectionPlus to our menu of services," said Avi E. Soffer, Chief
