UL Warns of Counterfeit Electric Signs

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Underwriters Laboratories is notifying consumers, sign installers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction that electric signs manufactured by Redwood Sign bear a counterfeit UL Mark. Redwood Sign is not authorized to use the UL Mark on its signs, or represent that its products are UL-LISTED. These signs have not been evaluated for safety by UL and are not authorized to bear the UL Mark.

Manufacturer: Redwood Sign, Redding, CA

Date of Manufacture: April 15, 2008 to present

Identification: Attached to the sign is a label that has a counterfeit UL Mark. Issue Numbers GX-143919 through GX-143925, and GT-999987 through GT-99997 also appear on the label. The company name, Redwood Sign and/or "E307455", may also be on the label or found on a separate label.
