Essex Rivers Healthcare NHS Trust Implements Ericom's Alternative to Citrix

CLOSTER, N.J., and WORCESTERSHIRE, England, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Ericom(R) Software, a leading provider of Enterprise-Wide Application Access solutions, is pleased to announce that Essex Rivers Healthcare NHS Trust has selected PowerTerm(R) WebConnect Enterprise edition to provide employees with secure access to the Trust's central repository and applications via an enterprise portal.

The Trust provides healthcare services to approximately 340,000 people across Colchester and the surrounding area. It is the latest in a line of NHS Trusts to select Ericom's PowerTerm WebConnect to deliver secure application access.

Ericom's PowerTerm product range has been deployed across the Trust since 2000, providing users with secure access to their core clinical and hospital administration applications. By expanding their use of Ericom's solutions, Essex Rivers Healthcare aims to improve application delivery and data access as part of their new Enterprise portal project, being co-managed with Omniplex, an accredited Ericom partner and a trusted reseller within the public sector.
