Two of Cincinnati's Leading Employee Benefit Providers Merge to Offer Clients Greater Expertise and Service
Date:1/25/2010

TOLEDO, Ohio, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Hylant Group, one of the largest privately owned insurance brokerage firms in the nation, and the W Group, a privately owned firm offering employee benefit services, have merged to provide their clients with more personalized service and greater expertise. The combined organizations will form one of the largest employee benefit firms in the Greater Cincinnati area.

The merger between the two organizations will provide the W Group's clients with additional tools and resources Hylant offers through its employee benefits division and in the areas of commercial and personal insurance and wealth management services.  Hylant's clients will benefit from the proven expertise and experience of the W Group and its strong reputation in the Cincinnati and northern Kentucky region.

"Our organizations are very similar in vision and philosophy," said Todd Belden, President of Hylant's Cincinnati Office.  "We believe the needs of our clients come first.  We operate with integrity and respect, and we take a team approach to what we do.  This merger allows Hylant to continue its growth strategy in the Greater Cincinnati area."

The W Group was founded in 2002 with the goal of helping clients control their health care costs while providing the best benefits plans for company employees and their families.  As they have expanded over the past eight years, they have stayed true to that goal and to their clients.

"Sharing core values when merging our two companies together was extremely important," said Joe Weldon, Senior Vice President and Employee Benefits Leader for Hylant's Cincinnati office and former President and Managing Partner of the W Group.  "It's more than a business relationship; it's about serving our clients and the community."

Founded in 1935, Hylant Group is a full-service insurance brokerage with 12 offices in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Tennessee, and employs more than 625 employees. As a member of the Worldwide Broker Network, Hylant offers complete risk management services, employee benefits consultation, loss control, 401(k) and financial services, healthcare management and insurance solutions for businesses and individuals.  Hylant is one of the largest privately held brokerage firms in the United States and serves a wide variety of clients locally, nationally, and internationally.  For more information, please visit www.hylant.com.
