Triveris Introduces Personal Health Record with Built-in Health Advisor
Date:9/18/2007

Health Insight Now(TM) automatically imports data from health plans, labs and pharmacies, interprets the results, and Informs users of recommended

health care actions

EATONTOWN, N.J., Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Triveris, Inc., a healthcare technology and services provider, has developed an on-line personal health record with a built-in personal health advisor. Health Insight Now(TM) automatically captures the user's lab results, health history, pharmacy records, and claims data; identifies potential health risks based on this information; and recommends appropriate actions for staying healthy.

"Unlike conventional personal health records, which only store data manually entered by an individual, Health Insight Now does the work for them by capturing this information from a variety of data sources," Says Dr. Stephen Kardos, CEO of Triveris. "In addition, this is a 'smart' PHR, which advises users on important actions based on their personal health information."

Users access their confidential Health Insight Now account through a password protected, HIPAA compliant web portal. After logging in, users are presented with a comprehensive one page summary about key things they need to know about their current state of health. This includes medical risks, current health status, health actions, recommended preventive management actions (e.g. past due or upcoming health screenings, prescription refills, etc.), and links to explain test results and medical conditions. Health Insight Now(TM) makes recommendations by comparing an individual's health care with nationally accepted source guidelines for care. These sources include the American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association, The American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Center for Disease Control among others.

By providing individuals with a unique, right-now look at their current health status, they are empowered and encouraged to track and play a role in the management of their own health. Health Insight is also interactive, allowing members to update their weight, blood pressure, family health histories, and other health measurements at any time so that they can immediately see how such changes can impact their health status. In addition, it provides users with an easily searchable history of all their claims data, which also gets imported into their record from their health providers.

"This is a proactive technology that gives individuals an opportunity to maintain optimum health and organizations an opportunity to reduce health costs," says Andrew Clayton, Director of Business Development for Triveris. "By providing an electronic health record with a built in health advisor, individuals are able to address ordinary ailments before they turn into life threatening diseases. This helps companies reduce expenses associated with catastrophic care."

Health Insight Now is currently made available to corporations through third party administrators, brokers and insurance companies. The company plans to offer Health Insight Now as a personal online health record for individuals in 2008. For information log on to http://www.healthinsightnow.com
