'Triumph' -- Traveling Towards Death: Preparing for a New Life

"Triumph" is the result of daily writing over the past year, as Philip and Darlyne clarified and expressed their feelings about Darlyne's impending death and Philip's loss. They have written this book to share an alternative perspective. They go through the process of acceptance. They speak clearly, cry openly, and dance for the joy of being alive.

In writing "Triumph", Darlyne described her own experiences in preparation for her death. She lived with "brittle" diabetes for the past 28 years -- in extreme anxiety about her health. Eventually she was able to face her fears, and spent the majority of her time in laughter, loving, and saying "good-bye" to old friends.

Darlyne brought to this endeavor over thirty-five years as a special education teacher, speech pathologist, workshop leader and hypnotherapist. Her intention was to pass on a simple guide for anyone preparing for their own death or the death of a loved-one with the hope that her book would make the process easier. She researched, compiled, and scraped the bottom of her own emotional barrel to bring forth this compilation for her audience.
