TrimWater kicks off the summer with SYNERGY Events' 'The Glamorous Red'

Second annual live makeover competition

BOSTON, May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- TrimWater will be on hand May 16 to support SYNERGY Events, the premier event planning company in Boston, to present The Glamorous Red 2nd annual live makeover competition. The competition will take place between three of Boston's hottest salons on May 16, 2008. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. at the Church Restaurant and Lounge, 69 Kilmarnock Street, Boston, MA.

Attendees will be treated to vodka Trimtinis and will leave the show gaining fresh ideas and insights on everything from fitting into a new bathing suit to the latest fashion and make-up trends all to help spice up their look for the summer.

'The Glamorous Red' is not just another makeover competition. It is a dynamic environment in which young, trendy Boston socialites come together to explore fashion, art, music and network with like-minded fashion forward socialites. The chic event is a culmination of an exciting and intense on-site makeover contest; a free makeup tips session with the guests by the participating salons, cocktails, complementary gift bags and live entertainment.

The makeover team includes three of Boston's finest salons -- Beaucage Salon & Spa, Athena Salon & Spa and Salon Acote. Makeover guests will be randomly selected from the audience to receive a dramatic transformation. With cameras rolling, everyday real women will be selected from the crowd to be transformed into glamorous divas in front of a live audience. A panel of judges who hold knowledge and expertise in the beauty and fashion industries will determine the winning makeover. Among the judges is one of the industry's most sought after makeup artists, Debra Macki.

TrimWater was created by Lifestyle Beverages Founder David Sackler in response to a need for a low-calorie, low-sugar flavored water alternative for anyone who doesn't want to sacrifice great taste for staying in shape. After realizing how high-calorie and high sugar drinks such as juices and popular flavored and vitamin enhanced water products add to weight gain, he sought to create a healthier alternative.

"Most of us are taught as children that juice is a vitamin rich, flavorsome alternative to water," Sackler says.
