FREMONT, Calif., July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Tricom Document Management (Tricom), a company specializing in the electronic management of legacy and current documents for a global clientele, has announced the acquisition of Pacific Data Centers, Inc. (PDC), a data processing bureau providing labor intensive services to its clients so that they can better focus on their core competencies.

Established in 1967, PDC utilizes the latest technological advances and state-of-the-art systems in creating a solid foundation to provide quality, efficient "virtual" administrative and customer support management. Specializing in all aspects pertaining to administrative and management functions, PDC includes data entry, data conversion, imaging, OCR, medical billing, claims processing, printing, mailing, and lock box services among the offerings that make it one of the most comprehensive outsourcing services in the nation. Current customers include government agencies, hospitals, insurance companies, direct mailers, banks, aerospace companies, utilities and management organizations. While PDC will become part of the larger Tricom family, it will retain its current name and identity for the foreseeable future.

"The purchase of Pacific Data Centers is our third major acquisition in 2008 and markedly increases our business offerings in the domestic marketplace," said Chetan Kothari, Managing Director of Tricom India Ltd. and President of Tricom Document Management, Inc. "In enhancing our capabilities to address the needs of clients whose data cannot be sent offshore we have laid the groundwork for additional expansion throughout North America and opened new areas for both our current and newly-acquired services."

Michelle Burrell, PDC Vice President responded, "We are very pleased to have become part of the Tricom organization. Their technical and financial support provides a wonderful opportunity to further develop our current operations, and we look forward to providing the additional services that will help Tricom grow and expand into new markets."
