Traveling With Diabetes The Positive Way

Diabetic novelist, with photographer partner, traveling with diabetes to raise diabetes awareness around the world, and proving that there is no reason for this chronic condition to prevent anyone from following their dreams.

Cape Town, South Africa (PRWEB) September 2, 2009 -- Novelist, Bridget McNulty, and photographer, Mark Peddle, are about to set off around the world for nine months, promoting and documenting the positive side of traveling with diabetes through words, images and video, all of which will be featured on Just The Planet - their media partners.

Bridget McNulty, a writer and Type 1 diabetic, has just had her novel, Strange Nervous Laughter, published in the USA, where it has already been listed in Cosmopolitan.com's 8 Best Summer Books. She will be joined by partner Mark Peddle, a photographer and designer, as they travel the world raising awareness for diabetes. Their goal is to show that with careful daily management , there is no reason for diabetes to stop you following your dreams.

Followers will be able to track McNulty and Peddle's journey across the globe, as they traverse first world and third, and visit over 10 different countries. Awareness will be raised through the Round The World 2009, "Traveling With Diabetes" section of Just The Planet and will include a frequently updated blog (Sweet Life), a visual journey of photographs, weekly videos hosted on YouTube, and daily video snippets uploaded by cellphone called "Best Moment of the Day". In addition to the online information, McNulty has agreed to a number of public speaking engagements as a way to offer further insights into the challenges of traveling with diabetes on a lengthy Round
