Two Los Angeles Universities, VSP(R) Vision Care and Transitions Optical

Join Together to Help Hispanic Families Improve Their Eye Health

Therefore, in many cases, a patient's eyecare professional may be the first to detect the disease, based on changes seen in the eye through a comprehensive eye exam.(2) In the Los Angeles area there are over 600,000 people diagnosed with diabetes.(3)

Diabetes and the medications that many patients must take to control the disease can directly affect quality of vision by reducing contras
