Touro Appoints Alan Kadish, M.D., Senior Provost and Chief Operati...(ion to deliver quality education that me...),Health

A prominent cardiologist on the national stage, Dr. Kadish comes to Touro from Northwestern University, where he served on the faculty and as an administrator for the past 19 years.

Dr. Kadish has worked as a teacher, research scholar and scientist, administrator, and clinician. He has held numerous senior level administrative positions at Northwestern, and also at the University of Michigan, where he held various appointments prior to joining the faculty at Northwestern. A prolific researcher and writer, he has written extensively in his field, authoring over 300 peer-reviewed papers and contributing to several textbooks.

Dr. Kadish expressed his excitement about the opportunity to work with Dr. Lander, whom he described as "a tremendous leader and innovator in higher education."

"I am very fortunate and proud to be joining Touro College and working with Dr. Lander, a pioneer in Jewish and secular education who has built an institution that responds in innovative ways to the educational needs of so many diverse communities," said Dr. Kadish. "I look forward to working with the entire Touro community in continuing the advancements of Touro's hard-working faculty, staff and administration. It is through their leadership that Touro has been able to deliver quality, accessible education to such a large and varied student population throughout the country and around the globe."

Dr. Kadish said he hopes to ensure that all students enter the workforce prepared to meet the challenges of an increasingly competitive economic climate, armed with the skills and resources of a Touro education. He looks to assist Dr. Lander in providing an even higher level of education and continuing to fulfill Touro's mission of serving the community.
