Top San Diego Dermatologist Explains Best Treatments for an Aging Chest
Date:7/25/2013

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) July 25, 2013

In a recent television interview, now available to view online, Sabrina G. Fabi, MD of Goldman, Butterwick, Fitzpatrick, Groff, & Fabi Cosmetic Laser Dermatology in San Diego discusses the signs of aging that often appear on the skin of the neck and chest and the innovative, non-invasive treatments available to minimize their appearance.

“We regularly protect the skin on our face by applying sunscreen and makeup, but rarely do we think about the skin on our neck and chest that gets just as much sun exposure. This leads to visible sun damage and wrinkles that can give away our age, or make us look older than we really are,” explained Dr. Fabi.

Dr. Fabi says that the injectable treatment Sculptra, as well as the IPL photofacial treatment are two of the best treatments for restoring a healthy, youthful appearance to the skin of the neck and chest. Non-invasive treatments with no downtime, these are quick and easy procedures for correcting the signs of aging that have proven to be highly effective in treating the chest.

“Sculptra is an injectable treatment that stimulates collagen that is lost as we age. That natural volume loss causes fine lines and wrinkles, so Sculptra injections stimulate collagen to fill the volume loss for a natural-looking, younger appearance. The IPL or photofacial, on the other hand, uses broad spectrum light to rejuvenate the skin and treat both redness and brown spots caused by chronic sun exposure, as well as stimulates superficial collagen production leading to improved textures,” said Dr. Fabi from San Diego’s Cosmetic Dermatology.
