Former hospital CEO from Bon Secours Charity Health System with expertise in turnarounds and improving hospital profitability joins StatCom in a strategic partnership program that helps hospitals transform their throughput operations

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 15, 2010 -- StatCom announces the addition of Tom Brunelle FACHE, MBA, to the StatCom team. Previously Brunelle served as EVP and CEO of the Warwick, NY and Port Jervis, NY hospitals for the Bon Secours Charity Health System, and EVP and COO of the Samaritan Health system in Watertown, NY. Brunelle is described by his peers and direct reports as “an excellent leader, very trustworthy, with high integrity, and complete knowledge of hospital operations having worked his way up through the system, starting as a Respiratory Therapist.” The CEO of the Bon Secour system who Brunelle reported to noted that the Warwick hospital had been the “super star hospital in the Bon Secour system as far as clinical quality and patient care and flow under Tom’s leadership.”

Brunelle is known as an executive with turnaround capability, demonstrated at the hospitals for which he has been responsible, and an effective leader of the medical staff and executive boards. He has experience in managing both independent hospitals and multi-facility systems and in each executive role has improved profitability through revenue growth, cost reduction, physician practice development, new program development and improving customer service in competitive markets. During Brunelle’s hospital executive leadership career, he also served on multiple regional and national system task forces and committees focused on improving clinical quality, reducing length of stay, reducing costs, and upgrading information technology systems.
