Time Domain Goes Global, Announces Worldwide Availability of its PLUS(TM) Ultra Wideband Real-Time Location System Sensor Platform
Date:4/27/2009

Increased sales in the U.S. and new global partner and customer pilots in Europe and Asia drive global demand

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- RFID Journal Live - Booth #333- With deployments of its PLUS Ultra Wideband (UWB) sensor platform in multiple retail, manufacturing and healthcare installations in the United States, and pilots in Europe and Asia, Time Domain Corporation, a leader in precision UWB real-time location systems (RTLS), today announced general worldwide availability for PLUS in Europe and Asia beginning in Q3 2009. PLUS, having achieved the required radio frequency spectrum and safety compliance, will be rolled out in the forty European Union countries and in Korea in August.

There have been more than 25 installations of PLUS in the past 6 months with full-scale rollouts of multiple client sites in process in 2009. This announcement extends globally Time Domain's highly flexible, enterprise-level UWB platform's capability to simultaneously monitor the interaction of thousands of people and assets through multiple walls and floors, in "noisy RF" indoor environments, over a long range and with sub meter (three-foot) level accuracy. Time Domain's global partners and their customers can now use its UWB platform in their countries to drive the same sales improvements in retail; productivity and safety improvements in manufacturing; and increased patient safety and quality care in healthcare, that U.S. customers are achieving.

"This global platform rollout is being driven by international demand for our products," said Greg Clawson
